It took a couple of months for Apple to begin selling the Apple Watch in its stores after the wearable first launched online, and it looks like it’ll take the same length of time for the Watch to hit third-party retailers too.
Best Buy has announced that it’ll begin selling the Apple Watch in its stores on August 7. The Apple Watch will initially be available in “more than 100 stores” as well as Best Buy’s online shop. Another 200 stores will begin stocking the Apple Watch in time for the holidays.
When it comes to selection, Best Buy will offer both the Apple Watch Sport and the stainless steel Apple Watch models in both 38mm and 42mm sizes. Best Buy also plans to offer “nearly 50 accessories,” including bands, screen protectors, stands, and chargers.
While the Apple Watch won’t be available in all Best Buy stores, the expanded availability is still better than only being available in Apple Stores, which can be a bit sparse. It’s unlikely that Best Buy’s Apple Watch buying experience will be quite the same as an Apple Store’s, but expanded availability will still let more folks actually see a watch in person before plunking down hundreds of dollars for a unit.
How many of you are already rocking an Apple Watch? If you are, what do you think of it?
