The OnePlus 2 is set to make its official debut in less than 12 hours, but a new leak appears to have fully revealed the look of the device before then.
Several high-quality photos that claim to show the OnePlus 2 have been posted to the Android Central forums. The images show a OnePlus-branded phone that looks similar to the device that appeared in the database of Chinese regulator TENAA.
The phone itself is a black slab with a fingerprint reader located beneath its display and a camera housing around back that holds the sensor, a flash, and another sensor. We can also see the volume rocker and power/lock button on one side of the OnePlus 2 and a mysterious slider or button on the opposite side of the phone. Finally, the bottom of the unit holds the speaker and the USB Type-C port, while the top has a microphone and headphone jack.
These new photos provide our best look yet at the OnePlus 2, though that’ll change in a few hours when OnePlus officially shows off the phone. Right now it looks like the OnePlus 2 takes the OnePlus One’s design and tweaks it slightly with a different camera housing and refreshed speaker hole cutouts.
The source of the images also shared their first impressions of the OnePlus 2 and its performance, saying that it has “good workmanship” and that the “camera OIS work well.” They weren’t quite so thrilled with the OnePlus 2’s fingerprint reader, though, saying that it’s “so so.” We’ll have to wait until the phone launches before making any judgments about how it handles, though.
