Heads up, Dropbox for Android users, because a new app update is going out that you’re probably going to want to grab.
Dropbox 3.0.0 is starting to roll out to users, bringing with it a material design user interface refresh. That includes a lot of little tweaks, like a colored status bar, floating action button, and slide-out hamburger menu. You can get a peek at this new-look Dropbox app in the screenshots below.
Google was pretty quick about pushing out material design updates to its own Android apps after Lollipop was released, but other companies haven’t been quite as swift. Dropbox’s material design update took a while to get out, but it’s here now, it’s good to see another major app adopt material design, especially as Lollipop’s distribution grows.
This new Dropbox app hasn’t made it into Google Play quite yet, but if you don’t feel like waiting to see what a material design-ified Dropbox app looks like, you can get the APK for sideloading from APK Mirror.
