Motorola’s David Schuster has been in touch quite a bit lately in an effort to keep us updated on the process of the Android 5.1 updates for the Moto X and DROID Turbo, and today he shared some more details for Moto X owners.
Schuster says that the Android 5.1 soak test for the Moto X (2nd Gen.) began rolling out today in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, and Sweden.
Meanwhile, the Moto X (1st Gen.)’s Android 5.1 test has started in Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates.
Schuster says that if everything goes smoothly, the full rollouts of both updates should begin next week. He previously said that if the Moto X (1st Gen.)’s update should begin rolling out in the US this week if its recent soak test went well, so US Moto X-ers could be getting Lollipop soon. And when it comes to the DROID Turbo, it’s still in testing. Hold tight, DROID Turbo owners.
