One of the best things about being a fan of Android is choice. That boils down to the software, even when you pick up a Nexus handset, because there are so many different ways to theme, customize or otherwise alter the experience to make it exactly what you want. Even better is the fact that you don’t even need to root the device to do that. Just download an app from the Google Play Store and you’re good to go.
The same can be said for hardware, as far as choice is concerned. The Android market has exploded over the last several years, going from “just another mobile OS,” to one of the most powerful platforms on the planet. Google’s mobile operating system is a force to be reckoned with, and manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola have developed some of their best smartphones ever just recently.
There is a lot to love for a fan of the smartphone market.
Especially right now. Heading into a wireless carrier’s retail shop and looking at the options therein can be pretty daunting, because, now more than ever, there are so many great handsets to choose from. Companies have evolved in all the right ways, and the payoff for consumers is pretty great.
It’s another year, and we’ve seen some really fantastic flagship smartphones get introduced already. HTC has debuted its One M9 earlier this year, while Samsung managed to take the wraps off not just the Galaxy S6, but also the Galaxy S6 edge. And then we’ve got LG, which just unveiled a striking new handset in the G4. But, even looking back at the tail-end of last year there’s Motorola with its 2nd Gen. Moto X, which is still one of the best smartphone options to date. And, even if the Nexus 6 has a gigantic display, it’s still an amazing smartphone.
There is plenty to love about each company, about each smartphone and what they have to offer, and with the latest entries from the major players in the market there’s even more to fall in love with.
