If Google Chrome is your iOS browser of choice over Safari, you should be aware that there’s a big app update headed your way today.
Google has announced that it’s updating Chrome for iOS with a handful of new features. You can now pull down on a page to reload, open a new tab, or close your current tab by sliding your finger between those three options. You can also begin typing in the address bar and get suggested answers for things like weather and unit conversions as you type. The final new feature in the browser itself is support for app extensions like 1Password and LastPass, meaning that you can use those apps to fill website password fields.
One other new Chrome for iOS feature is a widget in your pull-down Today view. When you add it, you’ll be given buttons for opening a new tab, activating voice search, and opening a link that’s copied on your clipboard.
This latest Chrome for iOS update looks pretty nifty, adding several new features that make performing various functions much quicker. The update is already live in the App Store, so you can check for it now or download it using the App Store link below.
