One week after Twitter pushed a new Quote Tweet feature to iOS users, it’s now rolling the update out to Android users too.
Twitter for Android has received an update that makes it “easier to add your own comments to other people’s Tweets.” The new Quote Tweet feature will embed your quoted Tweet below your text, giving you more than 100 characters of your own to add. That’s considerably more than you’d often get with the old Quote Tweet method, which would just place the quoted Tweet in quotation marks.
Since you’re only allotted 140 characters for a Tweet, it helps to get any additional characters you can when Retweeting. This new Quote Tweet gets you a lot more characters than the old method, and it looks a lot nicer, too.
If you don’t already have it, you can grab Twitter for Android at the Google Play link below.
