Ever heard of LeTV? If not, don’t worry, because it’s a company that’s traditionally focused on video streaming. It’s broadening its horizons into mobile now, though, with three new smartphones that are pretty spec-heavy.
LeTV has revealed the Le Max, Le 1 Pro, and Le 1, all of which run Android 5.0 beneath a custom user interface. They’ve all got some pretty large screens, too, with the two smaller phones offering 5.5-inch displays and the largest of the bunch sporting a whopping 6.33-inch screen. The Le 1 is going to start at 1499 yuan ($241 USD) and the Le 1 Pro will start at 2499 yuan ($402 USD). LeTV hasn’t revealed pricing for the top-end Le Max, but judging from the prices of the other phones, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Max cost more than $500 USD.
As I mentioned before, LeTV has said that it plans to sell its phones in the U.S. later this year. It’s even set up its U.S. headquarters in Redwood City, Calif., and launched a Los Angeles office as well. All three of the phones seem like pretty respectable Android options, and if you can handle using a phone with a 6.33-inch screen, the Le Max could be quite a performer.
