Apple didn’t spill many straight-up spec details of the Apple Watch at its event yesterday, but today the company did confirm one important detail of its new wearable.
The Apple Watch ships with 8GB of built-in storage. However, there are limitations on how that data can be used, Apple explained to 9to5Mac. Only 2GB of music can be stored on the Apple Watch, and only 75MB of photos, though the Apple Watch will resize your images to optimize them for the display and small storage space.
Thanks to this included storage, you’ll be able to listen to music and view photos on your watch without having to bring your iPhone along. The limited amount of storage means that you likely won’t be storing your entire music library on you watch, but you should have enough tunes to last you through a workout session.
