Google has expanded its catalog of iOS apps once again.
Google Calendar for iPhone is now available from the App Store. Just like the Android version of Google Calendar, this new iPhone app can automatically create events based on messages in your Gmail inbox; Assists, a feature that’ll help you create events by suggesting people, places, and titles as you type; and Schedule View, which will include photos and maps of places you’re traveling to to make your Calendar pretty.
There’s no shortage of calendar apps already available on iOS, including Apple’s own app, Fantastical, and Sunrise. Some folks might prefer Google Calendar, though, because it offers features like Events from Gmail and has an attractive Material Design. And even if you don’t end up using Google Calendar, you have to admit that it’s good to see Google continue to bring its core apps to iOS.
