Apparently HTC is feeling pretty musical lately, because just days after posting its “Hold the Crown” rap video to YouTube, a new video has surfaced that shows HTC executives playing music and singing onstage.
A video posted to HTC Taiwan’s official YouTube channel shows HTC CEO Peter Chou playing an acoustic guitar and singing “We Are One,” HTC’s official anthem. Chou explains that the song is about HTC’s personality, how the company is fearless in pursuit of its passion, and that together, HTC and all of its employees are one. Chou is eventually joined onstage by HTC chairwoman Cher Wang.
The song was performed as part of HTC’s celebration of the end of the year, with the Chinese New Year starting on February 19. The whole performance is pretty big, with several musicians and singers taking part. And while opinions on the quality of the performance will vary, you’ve got to admit that Peter Chou and Cher Wang are working hard to unite their employees and build excitement about HTC.
HTC is holding a “utopia in progress” event on March 1 at which the company is expected to debut its next flagship Android phone, currently being referred to as the HTC One (M9).
