There will be a ton of major mobile companies showing off their wares at Mobile World Congress next month, including HTC and Samsung. Now we’ve got one more major company to add to the list of firms that’ll be in Barcelona.
Microsoft is sending out invitations to its Mobile World Congress event on March 2 at 8:30 am CET, which is 2:30 am ET. The invite asks us to “come along for the ride” and includes an image of a hot air balloon floating among the clouds.
It’s not known what Microsoft will show at MWC, but the rumor mill has suggested that it’ll be a while before we see a new flagship Windows handset, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for one next month if I were you. What’s more likely is that we’ll get another look at Windows 10 for phones and maybe another lower-end smartphone or two.
