Heads up, iOS users, because you’ve got a software update headed your way!

Apple is now pushing iOS 8.1.3 out to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. As you can see in the screenshots above, the update weighs in at 247MB on my iPhone 6 Plus. Included with iOS 8.1.3 are the following tweak:

• Reduces the amount of storage required to perform a software update
• Fixes an issue that prevented some users from entering their Apple ID password for Messages and FaceTime
• Addresses an issue that caused Spotlight to stop displaying app results
• Fixes an issue which prevented multitasking gestures from working on iPad
• Adds new configuration options for education standardized testing

Apple has caught a lot of flak lately for the size that its over the air updates requires. Some users that have iPhones with 8GB of storage have even been unable to install some large updates. Thankfully, it looks like Apple is finally address this problem and a few others with iOS 8.1.3.

iOS 8.1.3 is compatible with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini, and iPod touch 5th generation. To see if the update is available for you, head into Settings > General > Software Update.
