Remember the Samsung Galaxy Prevail? This Android device launched on Boost Mobile waaaaay back in early 2011, and in its time on that roster, the Prevail became one of Boost’s best-selling Android smartphones. Now we’re here in early 2015 and Boost is launching a new entry in the Prevail family.

The Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE will launch at Boost Mobile on January 19 for $129.99. For that price, you’ll be getting an Android 4.4 smartphone with the following features:

• 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor
• 8GB of storage
• microSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB
• 1GB of RAM

• 2000mAh battery

To compare, the original Galaxy Prevail offers a 3.2-inch display, 2-megapixel camera, and Android 2.2, while the Galaxy Prevail 2 has a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, and Android 4.1. Clearly the Galaxy Prevail LTE is a big upgrade over the previous Prevail devices, and while it’s not exactly high-end, it could be a respectable device for folks in the market for a smartphone that’ll be easy on the wallet.
