It seems as though nearly every mobile manufacturer is unleashing new hardware at CES 2015, and BLU Products is no different.
BLU Products today announced several new smartphones that it’s showing here at CES in Las Vegas. There are lots of new handsets here, so let’s break ‘em down bullet point style.
- Vivo Air: 4.8-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3, 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek 6592 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with 2.4mm aperture, 5-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 2100mAh battery, and Android 4.4. All of that’s crammed into a phone that’s 5.1mm thick and will launch in mid-January at Amazon for $199 unlocked.
- Studio Energy: 5-inch 1280x720 IPS screen with Gorilla Glass 3, 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek 6582 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with 2.2mm aperture, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD slot, 5000mAh battery, Reverse Charging for juicing up your other gadgets with your phone, and Android 4.4. Launching at Amazon at the end of January for $179.
- Life One (2nd Gen.): 5-inch 1280x720 IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3, 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD slot, 2420mAh battery, and Android 4.4 (upgradeable to Android 5.0). Will launch at Amazon at the end of March at $179 for the 5-inch model or $199 for the 5.5-inch Life One XL.
- Studio X/Studio X Plus: 5-inch 1280x720 or 5.5-inch 1280x720 touchscreens, 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek 6582 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot, 2100mAh or 2600mAh batteries, and Android 4.4 (upgradeable to Android 5.0). Will launch at Amazon and other retailers at the end of January for $129 for Studio X, $149 for Studio X Plus.
- Studio G: 5-inch 854x480 touchscreen, 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek 6582 processor, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, microSD slot, 2000mAh battery, and Android 4.4 (upgradeable to Android 5.0). Will launch at Amazon at the end of January for $89.
So there’s BLU’s new smartphone lineup for CES 2015. There’s quite a variety of devices in that group, like the super-thin Vivo Air and the Studio Energy, which has one of the largest smartphone batteries that we’ve seen to date. And they’re all pretty easy on the wallet, so if there’s anything up there that tickles your fancy, your wallet likely won’t take a huge hit.
