If you’re a Tizen fan, then I’ve got a little Christmas surprise for you.
More photos of the Samsung Z1 have surfaced, giving us another glimpse at what could be the first Tizen smartphone released to the public. The images offer a much clearer look at the front of the Z1, including its home screen, physical home button, and capacitive back and multitasking buttons. A second photo shows the side of the Z1 and its volume rocker.
As a refresher, the Samsung Z1 is rumored to feature a 4-inch 800x480 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 768MB of RAM, and a 1500mAh battery. Obviously that’s not a high-end spec list, but Samsung’s goal with Tizen is to infiltrate the entry-level market, which makes sense since the platform would have a tough time competing at the high-end with Android and iOS and their established ecosystems.
Rumors suggest that the Samsung Z1 will launch in January 2015, so stay tuned for more, because it shouldn’t be long before all is officially revealed.
