Falcon Pro is one of the most popular Twitter clients on Android. Despite the fact that it was pulled from Google Play in early 2013 after its Twitter token limit was reached, creator Joaquim Vergès made it available for sideloading and found a loophole that allowed new users to install it. Falcon Pro has quietly received a few updates since then, but Vergès recently revealed that he’s planning a huge upgrade for his Twitter app.
Joaquim Vergès says that he’s made the decision to rewrite the Falcon Pro app from scratch “for the lulz.” Vergès goes on to explain that the update will include his version of Android 5.0’s Material Design as well as “a new Twitter client experience.”
Exactly what Vergès means when he says that he’s working on “a new Twitter client experience” remains to be seen. However, because Falcon Pro is still one of the most well-loved Twitter clients for Android and Vergès is one of Android’s best-known developers, there’s sure to be a lot of excitement surrounding this new version of Falcon Pro leading up to its release.
