One of the big highlights of the BlackBerry Classic is its tool belt, whose classic BlackBerry navigation buttons and a trackpad harken back to the days of Bold. The tool belt isn’t the only old-school BlackBerry feature that the Classic will offer, though.
BlackBerry today announced that Brick Breaker will be offered alongside the BlackBerry Classic. Brick Breaker is a game that came preloaded with older BlackBerry phones and tasks you with using the trackpad to move a platform that bounces a ball and smashes bricks.
BlackBerry also recently gave us a rundown of the Classic’s camera features. The 8-megapixel shooter on the Classic’s backside will be capable of capturing panoramic photos, a time shift mode with offline editing, a timer, HDR and a burst mode. Additionally, the Classic’s trackpad, space bar, volume buttons and on-screen icon can all be used as shutter buttons.
The BlackBerry Classic is currently available for pre-order, with orders slated to begin shipping in mid-December. We’ll have to wait to get our hands on the Classic before we make any judgments about it, but its combination of BlackBerry 10.3 software and old-school BlackBerry hardware features could please both anyone that’s stuck with the platform as well as old-school users that might’ve ditched it for another OS recently.
