Yesterday the public got treated to an iOS 8.1.2 update, and today Apple is giving its developers a new update of their own to tinker with.
iOS 8.2 beta 2 is now available for download from Apple’s developer website. The update is being pushed out over the air except to the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, which must be updated through iTunes. iOS 8.2 beta 2 is compatible with the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and the fifth generation iPod touch.
The iOS 8.2 beta includes the WatchKit Software Development Kit (SDK), which developers can use to begin creating apps for the Apple Watch. As far as iOS 8.2 beta 2 goes, the update includes tweaks like a fix for a bug that would prevent third-party keyboards from appearing in Safari, Maps and other apps.
If you’re a registered iOS developer, you can grab iOS 8.2 beta 2 right now. If not, well, you’ll have to wait for the public push.
