The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 rumors have been coming hard and fast lately, but that all may finally come to an end tomorrow.
A report from Forbes claims that both the Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9 will both be announced by Google tomorrow. It’s said that Google had intended to hold an event for the reveal, but due to some “fine tweaking” to Android L, it opted for a more simple announcement.
The HTC Nexus 9 will reportedly be available for preorder starting October 17, with a launch scheduled for November 3. pricing is expected to be set at $399 for the 16GB model and $499 for the 32GB LTE-enabled variant. Interestingly, the report claims that both Nexus 9 variants “will have expandable memory.”
In terms of specs, the rumor mill suggests that the Nexus 9 will feature an 8.9-inch 2048x1440 display, NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 3-megapixel front-facing cam, front-facing speakers and 2GB of RAM. If true, the inclusion of a microSD slot as well would be a big deal, as Nexus devices aren’t known to have expandable storage. Good thing that we may not have to wait long before all is revealed.
