Over the past month or so, we’ve heard rumblings that Motorola and Verizon may be working together on a new DROID family member known as the “DROID Turbo.” Neither Motorola nor Verizon have officially announced the phone, but today a leak appears to have confirmed quite a few aspects of the device.
A Motorola DROID Turbo user manual has been posted by MotoFirmware. The document looks like a legit Verizon user guide, offering information on how to set up and use the phone’s various features. Included is a clear shot of the phone itself as well as several of its spec details:
The rumor mill has also suggested that the DROID Turbo could be equipped with 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 805 processor, but there’s no mention of those features in today’s leaked manual.
While the Moto X and its customizability are sure to be attractive to many folks, the DROID Turbo has several features that make it tempting as well. Those include a 5.2-inch QHD screen, 21-megapixel rear camera and Kevlar back, all of which are features that the Moto X lacks. Plus, the Turbo’s got several of the software goodies that’ve made Motorola’s Moto devices popular.
It’s been said that Motorola and Verizon could introduce the DROID Turbo sometime in October, but there’s been no concrete evidence of its exact launch date or price. You can peruse the leaked PDF manual at the MotoFirmware link below to help pass the time until we learn more.
