Windows Phone fans have been waiting for their dedicated Flipboard app for some time, but today that wait is finally coming to an end.
Flipboard is now available for download from the Windows Phone Store. The app is launching as version 2.3 and it includes support for Windows Phone 8.1. Just as on other platforms, Flipboard for Windows Phone if a free app that lets you create a “personal magazine” by adding categories of news that you’re interested in as well as specific sources. With the Windows Phone version of the app, you can also pin Flipboard sources to your Start screen. Unfortunately, WPCentral notes that the Flipboard app isn't compatible with Windows Phone devices that have 512MB of RAM.
Flipboard for Windows Phone certainly took some time to arrive, but hey, the good news is that the app is finally here and that it looks like it fits in nicely with Windows Phone’s design language.
