It looks like the iOS crowd isn’t the only group of mobile users getting an update today, as Microsoft is now pushing a new update to anyone enrolled in the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers program.
As noted by Microsoft, the update bumps you Preview for Developers folk up to build 8.10.14176. The update includes a number of performance improvements and bug fixes, including a fix for the 80188308 error that popped up doing the update process for some users. Microsoft says that this bug results from the device running out of storage space in its system partition while trying to up.
The folks in Redmond also say that this update enables the Windows Phone 8.1 Update for HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S. Finally, many Lumia users should receive the Lumia Cyan update starting today, with even more devices expected to be added in the coming weeks.
Overall this sounds like a nice little update for those users enrolled in the Preview for Developers program. More Lumia folk are getting in on the Lumia Cyan action, while HTC users are getting some new software to tinker with as well. If you’re a part of the Preview for Developers program, you can check for this update by heading into Settings > Phone update > Check for updates.
