Hot on the heels of its announcement of the Lumia Denim update, Microsoft introduced a pair of new Nokia Lumia smartphones. (I told you that there’d be new hardware, didn’t I?)
The first new device is the Nokia Lumia 830. Described as an “affordable flagship,” the Lumia 830 boasts a 10-megapixel PureView rear camera with optical image stabilization and Zeiss optics. Its front-facing shooter is of the 1-megapixel variety.
Also included on the face of the Lumia 830 is a 5-inch 1280x720 ClearBlack IPS-LCD screen. Diving inside of the 830 presents us with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, removable 2200mAh battery, integrated wireless charging and the Lumia Denim update.
The Lumia 830 is slated to begin launching later this month for around €330 ($433.86 USD).
The second new Lumia smartphone is the selfie-centric handset that we’ve been expecting. The Nokia Lumia 730 packs a wide-angle 5-megapixel front-facing camera along with a new Lumia Selfie app that’ll allow users to easily capture, share and edit photos taken with a front or rear camera.
Speaking of rear camera, the Lumia 730 comes with a 6.7-megapixel rear shooter. Other Lumia 730 specs include a 4.7-inch 1280x720 OLED screen, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot, 2220mAh battery, wireless charging and the Lumia Denim update.
Both the dual-SIM Lumia 730 and the 4G LTE-enabled Lumia 735 will start shipping in September. Pricing is expected to be set at €199 for the Lumia 730 and €219 for the Lumia 735.
