Barnes & Noble and Samsung are teaming up to create the newest member of the Nook family, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook. And while we already know what the hardware looks like, we don’t know how much it’ll cost or what special features will be included. That should change on August 20, but B&N has decided to try and build some hype for its new hardware ahead of the upcoming event.
Today Barnes & Noble posted a brief teaser video to YouTube that’s reminiscent of Amazon’s Fire phone tease. The clip shows several people messing with the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook and exclaiming things like “This is really nice” and “I can’t even imagine what it’s like to read on this.”
The video doesn’t really reveal any new information about the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, but it does show the device in both dark blue and white, so it looks like potential buyers will have a couple of different color options to choose from.
The original Galaxy Tab 4 includes a 7-inch 1280x800 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera. We’ll have to wait until next week to find out exactly what makes the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tick, but I’m betting that it won’t differ much from the OG Tab 4.
