Earlier this month, some photos leaked out that claimed to show the Sony Xperia Z3 hardware. Now a new report has given us some details related to what’s on the inside of that device.
According to @evleaks, the Sony Xperia Z3 (D6653) features a 5.15-inch 1080p display and 2.1-megapixel camera on its face, as well as a 20.7-megapixel shooter on its rear. Packed inside of the Z3’s body is a 2.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. Finally, it’s said that the new Xperia is powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
To compare, the Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. Right now the Xperia Z3 doesn’t sound like a huge departure from its predecessor, as they feature similar screens, rear cameras and internals. You’d think that Sony has something up its sleeve for the Z3 if it’s making a new model, though, so we’ll just have to wait for more leaks to come out to give us a more full picture of the Z3. Stay tuned.
