Following Sprint’s announcement of Wi-Fi Calling back in February, the big yellow carrier has steadily been rolling the feature out to the devices in its stable. Today that push continues with the HTC One (M8).

Sprint just revealed that it’s now pushing an update to its version of the HTC One (M8) that brings the device up to software version 2.16.651.4. The update includes a bump to Android 4.4.3, which is mainly a bug fixer, along with Wi-Fi Calling support and the HD Voice icon.

Wi-Fi Calling is a pretty handy feature that allows users to make calls and send texts over a Wi-Fi connection when their cellular signal is weak. It’s also something that just about anyone can benefit from at one point or another, so it’s good to see Sprint continue to add the feature to more of its hardware.

Sprint says that today’s HTC One (M8) update will roll out to users in phases. If you’re feeling impatient and would like to check for the update manually, you can do so by going into Settings > System updates > HTC software update > CHECK NOW.
