If you live in Australia, India or New Zealand and the Nexus 5 is your smartphone of choice, you’ll want to keep an eye out for an update that’s headed your way soon.
Google is rolling out a maintenance release of Android 4.4.4 to the Nexus 5 in Australia, India and New Zealand. The folks at Android Police note that the update includes a new radio image, suggesting that it’s meant to address a network issue in those countries.
In case you’re curious, the build number for this update is KTU84Q, the version is Android 4.4.4_r2 and the factory image lists it as “4.4.4 Release 2 (For 2Degrees/NZ, Telsta/AUS and India ONLY)(KTU84Q).”
This new update may not sound like the most exciting one that’s ever been pushed, even to the folks in the three countries that’ll actually be receiving it, but it’s always good to see companies rolling out updates to squash bugs that are affecting their users.
