Unlocking a device’s bootloader lets you to really get your hands dirty with tweaking it by allowing you do things like load custom ROMs. While this isn’t something that most consumers will ever think about, it’s good to see Sony taking care of the hardcore Android crowd by simplifying the process of unlocking the bootloader on an Xperia device.
