It’s now been nearly 5 months since AT&T announced that it would be selling the ASUS PadFone X, and in that time the big blue carrier has stayed fairly quiet about its release plans for the device. Thankfully, that’s finally changing today, as AT&T has come forward with its PadFone X availability details.
AT&T says that the PadFone X will be available for pre-order online and in stores on June 6. Pricing for the PadFone X will be set at $199 with a 2-year contract, $22.92 per month with AT&T Next 18 or $29.80 per month with AT&T Next 12. In exchange for your hard-earned dollars, you’ll be getting a device with the following specs:
AT&T will also run a special promo from June 6 through July 24 that will offer a blue or what ASUS 2-pack tablet cover, Wireless Charging Folio and Duracell Wireless Charging Mat for $80, a savings of $50. Additionally, consumers will be able to purchase a PadFone X Folio Bundle of protective covers and a PadFone X Mobile Dock Bluetooth keyboard that includes a 450mAh battery.
ASUS has released several generations of PadFone hardware to date, but none of those products have been officially sold by a U.S. carrier. That’s why it’s exciting to see the PadFone X making its way to AT&T, giving U.S. consumers an easy way to pick up the PadFone X and its tablet dock.
Now that we finally know when the PadFone X will be hitting AT&T’s shelves and how much it’ll cost when it does, are any of you thinking about checking the device out?
