Mini smartphones have officially become a trend, with many manufacturers releasing shrunken versions of their flagship handsets. Today a new leak has revealed that another device maker is jumping on the mini bandwagon.
Several images posted to Chinese social network Sina Weibo have shown that Oppo is prepping a smaller version of the N1. The N1 originally launched back in December 2013 with a 5.9-inch display and rotating 13-megapixel camera. To compare, this N1 Mini is said to include a 5-inch screen and a rotating shooter. The phone reportedly includes 4G support as well.
The Oppo N1 is a fairly sizable device, so it’s not terribly surprising to learn that Oppo is prepping a mini version. It remains to be seen whether the Oppo N1 Mini will feature higher-end specs or if it’ll be more of a mid-range phone like most other mini handsets, but the good news is that with a debut slated for May 30, it won’t be much longer before all is revealed.
