Motorola has said that the next version of the Moto X will make its debut in the “late summer,” but we may not have to wait that long to get our first look at the device.
An image has been shared by @evleaks that claims to show an “unannounced Motorola flagship” device in the Chicago subway (Motorola’s headquarters are located in Libertyville, Ill., a suburb of Chicago). The phone appears to be in a case that’s meant to conceal its real design, but we can see what looks to be a Motorola prototype logo in the upper left corner and a set of on-screen navigation buttons. The source of the image says that the phone’s screen “looks at least 5 inches or more.”
It’s not clear whether or not this is the oft-leaked Moto X+1, but it makes sense that that device would be Motorola’s next flagship. Unfortunately, there’s not much about this mystery Motorola phone that we can glean from the photo because the device is in a case and because the photo itself is somewhat fuzzy. If this new Motorola flagship is anything like the original Moto X, though, the rumor mill should have more to say about it in the coming months.
Would you like to see the next Moto X get its screen bump up to 5 inches or higher?
