Now that both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8) have been officially introduced, it looks like the rumor mill has set its sights on the next flagship handset from Apple.
Some images that claim to show an iPhone 6 undergoing testing at a Foxconn facility have been posted to Chinese microblogging network Weibo. The device in the shots looks a bit like a mashup of an iPhone 5s and an iPod touch, sporting a backside that's split into three sections as well as rounded corners and a camera that protrudes, similar to the iPod touch. It's also worth noting that the product shown in these photos looks somewhat similar to the design that was part of an alleged iPhone schematics leak from last week.
While nothing about the next iPhone will be official until Tim Cook and Co. says that it is, many expect the upcoming device to feature a design that's different than the one found on the iPhone 5 and 5s. Apple has followed a sort of tick/tock pattern with its iPhone designs in recent years, and after reusing the iPhone 5's look on the iPhone 5s, that pattern would suggest that we're due for a shiny new iPhone in 2014. Whether or not the device shown in these images is that device remains to be seen, but hey, at least these leaked shots give us something to ogle and speculate about until the iPhone 6's real debut.
What do you think of the hardware shown in these leaked images? Would you be happy if the iPhone 6 looked like this?
