Android fitness fanatics, rejoice! Today Jawbone updated its UP app for Android to version 3.0, adding in support for its new UP24 wristband. The band syncs wirelessly to an Android smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0 to deliver fitness data, feedback and notifications. The Jawbone UP24 band is available for $149.99 in persimmon and onyx colors.

When Marco reviewed the Jawbone UP24 earlier this year, one of the major downsides of the wristband was that it was only compatible with iOS hardware at the time, meaning that Android users would be unable to sync their smartphone to gather data related to their sleep, fitness and eating habits. Now I don't know if you've noticed or not, but Android is a pretty big presence in mobile, so it's good to see Jawbone finally add UP24 support to its official UP app.
