Following its release of Android 4.4.2 for the GSM Moto G, the Boost Mobile Moto G and select Moto X units in Canada, Motorola is keeping the update juices flowing today by bumping another one of its recent releases to Android 4.4.2.
This time it's the Verizon Wireless flavor of the Moto G that's getting treated to some new software. Joshua Worth and other Verizon Moto G owners are reporting that they've received an update to Android 4.4.2 on their devices today, bumping them up to the freshest version of Android that's currently available. As of this writing, neither Motorola nor Verizon have posted any details regarding the update, so for now we're without an official changelog.
Ever since it released the Moto X last year, Motorola has been pretty on the ball with its software updates, rolling out Android OS updates and new versions of its special apps in a pretty speedy fashion. That's a trend that's continuing today, and it's great to see Motorola continue to show such great support for its products.
As for you U.S. Moto X owners, we recently learned that an Android 4.4.2 soak test for the T-Mobile/GSM unlocked Moto X is underway. If the past is any indication, it shouldn't be too long before that update begins rolling out to T-Mo's Moto X as well as the other U.S. carrier-branded models.
Are any of you rocking a Verizon Moto G? If so, have you received your Android 4.4.2 update yet?
