Prefer to buy your phones direct from the carrier rather than a big box retailer? Well if you also happen to be a Verizon customer that's interested in the Moto G, I've got some good news for you.

Verizon just announced that it will begin online sales of the prepaid Moto G on Jan. 9, with in-store availability planned for "the coming weeks." Pricing for the Moto G will be set at $99.99 sans contract, and the device will be compatible with Verizon's $60 per month prepaid plan that includes unlimited talk, text and 2GB of data. Verizon also offers a prepaid plan with 4GB of data for $70 per month.

While it's kind of a bummer that Verizon's Moto G doesn't include 4G LTE connectivity, the rest of its spec sheet is pretty respectable. That includes a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 2070mAh battery. And at just $99.99 without a contract, the Moto G is one of the best deals in wireless right now, especially considering that Motorola will be updating the Verizon Moto G to Android 4.4 in the near future. If you've been thinking about making the jump to Verizon's prepaid service, the Moto G is most definitely worth a look.
