Verizon LG G2 owners, it looks like your weekend just got upgraded. Verizon has announced a new software update for its G2 that bumps the device up to software version VS98012B and includes quite a few bug fixes and other enhancements. For example, Big Red says that the number of device lockups has been reduced and that voice quality has been improved. The full list of changes is as follows:
Sounds like a nice little maintenance update, no? The bundle of software weighs in at a modest 172MB in size and, according to Android Central, is now making its way to Verizon-tattooed G2 units across the land. If you just checked your notification bar and didn't see an update alert staring back at you, then you may want to head into Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates to see if you can manually pull the update from the sky.
