It's been a few days since any new Nexus 5 leaks, and considering how frequently the unannounced device was showing its face earlier this month, that's kind of a long time. That drought ends tonight, though, as @evleaks has shared a pair of official-looking renders of the new Nexus smartphone on Twitter.
The images posted tonight show both the front and back of the Nexus 5, complete with a round earpiece on its face and a large camera housing on its backside. The image on the screen includes the white status bar icons, new launcher and app layout as the past couple of leaks. Meanwhile, the back of the phone sports some vertical Nexus branding that's similar to the rear of the new Nexus 7, and at the bottom of the phone's rear we can clearly see an LG logo.
Tonight's Nexus 5 leak doesn't reveal much of anything new about the upcoming device, but I know I'm not the only one that doesn't mind getting another peek at an upcoming handset, especially one that's as hotly-anticipated as Google and LG's new Nexus collabo. Unfortunately, it's still not clear exactly when the two companies plan on coming clean and making this thing official. With the recent Nexus sellouts and the one-year anniversary of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 announcement coming on Tuesday, though, it feels like an announcement could be getting close.
