Alcatel has kept itself pretty busy over the past couple of months by introducing a slew of new hardware at IFA and then throwing together a couple of new smartphones for T-Mobile. Now it looks like the company may be getting ready to introduce a new tablet as well.
Prolific product surprise spoiler @evleaks took to Twitter this morning to post an image of a device referred as the Alcatel One Touch Pop, a 7-inch tablet with several colorful backsides. We can see in the product shot that this 7-inch slate is running Android beneath a custom user interface similar to the one that's present on devices like the One Touch Hero and One Touch Alpha. There also appears to be cameras on the front and rear of this Alcatel tablet as well as a set of on-screen navigation buttons.
Exact spec details for this 7-inch slate are up in the air for now, but if the device is indeed part of the One Touch Pop family of devices that go refreshed back at IFA, then I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's packing an entry-level to mid-range feature set. Stay tuned and I'll update you with more details on Alcatel's latest colorful creation as I get 'em.
