Remember the Nokia Lumia 929? The Verizon-bound Windows Phone leaked out a few times before Nokia World 2013, but was nowhere to be found at the show itself. There's some good news for Verizon customers looking forward to the Lumia 929 tonight, though, as a poster in the WPCentral forums has given us a look at the unannounced device in the wild.
User "Falorin" has posted both a photo and a brief video showing off an all black version of the Nokia Lumia 929. Both the image and the video show the 929's About screen that confirms a few details about the device, including its name, the fact that it's running on Verizon and its 1920x1080 screen resolution. The 45-second clip includes a quick tour of the Lumia 929 hardware, showing off all four of its sides, its SIM card tray and its backside, complete with Nokia and Verizon 4G LTE branding.
Most of the Lumia 929's spec details are still up in the air, but the rumor mill has suggested that it's packing a 20-megapixel PureView camera, a large screen that's at least 5 inches in size and possibly a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor at its core. If those features hold true, the Lumia 929 ought to make for a nice successor to the Lumia 928, which launched back in May. Verizon customers haven't had a new Windows Phone since, but the good news is that Falorin claims that the Lumia 929 is slated to launch "around Thanksgiving time," so that new device drought may soon be over.
