Cricket today took the wraps off of the latest addition to its portfolio of 4G LTE products, the ZTE Source. Up front, the Source features a 4.5-inch 854x480 touchscreen and 1-megapixel camera, and moving around to the back of the device reveals a 5-megapixel shooter. Sandwiched in between those parts is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4GB storage, 4GB microSD card, 1GB RAM and a 2070mAh battery that's powering the whole package. The ZTE Source comes preloaded with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
So when will the latest Cricket-ZTE collabo be available for purchase? Cricket says that the ZTE Source will hit stores and its website on Sunday, Oct. 20, complete with a no-contract price of $219.99. That makes it Cricket's most affordable LTE-capable smartphone, and while the Source's spec list may be a tad entry-level, it's nice to see Cricket adding lower-priced LTE handsets to its lineup.
