Motorola's trio of new Droid devices for Verizon share many of the same features, including 720p displays, 10-megapixel rear cameras and Moto's X8 Mobile Computing System. There is one feature that's unique to the Droid Ultra, though, as it's the only member of the group to be available with a red paint job. However, a new leak shows that that crimson outfit may not be a Droid Ultra exclusive for much longer.
An image posted to Twitter by @evleaks claims to show a new red version of the Motorola Droid Mini. Just as with the red Droid Ultra, the red color on this Droid Mini covers the phone's entire backside and then wraps around its chin, meaning that there's a little bit of red on the front of the device as well. Outside of the new red color, the Droid Mini in today's leaked renders appears to be the same as the black model that's currently available.
There's no mention in today's leak of when this red Droid Mini might launch or how much it'll cost when it does. Whenever it does launch, though, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the device sell for the same price as the black version, which is currently available from Verizon's website for $49.99 with a two-year contract. Stay tuned and I'll give you a shout once more details on this scarlet smartphone emerge.
