After first introducing us to the G Pad 8.3 back at the tail-end of August, LG today detailed its U.S. launch plans for its new tablet. The LG G Pad 8.3 is now available for purchase from Best Buy's website with 16GB of built-in storage and either a black or white paint job for $349.99. Consumers that'd prefer a more hands-on, brick and mortar buying experience will be able to snag a G Pad 8.3 from Best Buy stores starting on Nov. 3. LG has also included some unique software features with the G Pad 8.3. One example is QPair, which allows a user to connect an Android 4.1 or higher smartphone to the G Pad 8.3 and then access the phone's incoming texts and calls as well as its recently-opened apps.
It's been a while since LG was last involved in the Android tablet arena, but the company has reentered the space with its G Pad 8.3, and overall it looks like a slate that could be worth considering if you're in the hunt for a small-size tablet. It's good to see that the G Pad 8.3 is finally making its way onto U.S. store shelves, and with availability at Best Buy's website and in its stores, it'll be interesting to see if the G Pad's 8.3-inch display and software features can draw consumer attention away from the other tablets lining Best Buy's shelves.
