Motorola already makes it easy for consumers to personalize a Moto X by selecting the device's front and rear colors, setting its wallpaper and adding a special power on greeting, but today the company took things a step further by launching a tool to help iOS users migrate some of their personal information to a Moto X device. After buying a Moto X on Moto Maker, users can select the Migrate tool and sign in with their iCloud and Google credentials. The tool will then transfer the Contacts and Calendar data stored in iCloud to the Moto X.
Having a web-based tool to transfer over contacts and calendar data from iCloud to a Moto X would make switching platforms less painless, and for those folks that have yet to pick up a Moto X, this Migrate tool could make it just a tad easier for existing iOS users considering a Moto X to actually pull the trigger. It's also worth noting that Motorola's Punit Soni says of the tool that "there is a long way to go, but it's a start," suggesting that we could see improvements made later on. More details on the Moto X Migrate tool can be found at the Motorola support link below.
