Drawn to the bright, glossy exterior of Apple's new iPhone 5c? If so, you may want to head to the nearest Best Buy store this weekend, as the retailer has announced a new promotion that may just convince you to pull the trigger on the new iOS smartphone.
Best Buy has announced that from Oct. 3 through Oct. 7, it will be giving away a $50 gift card with every purchase of an iPhone 5c on a two-year contract. Customers that buy their iPhone 5c in-store can then apply that gift card to their purchase, knocking the final cost of the 16GB iPhone 5c down to $49.99 and the 32GB model to $149.99.
The iPhone 5c may not sport the same high-end internals as its iPhone 5s sibling, but it does feature most of the same specs as the iPhone 5, which is still a pretty respectable little smartphone. What the iPhone 5c does have, though, is a new plastic shell that's available in five bright color options. The device also appears to be slightly easier to find than the iPhone 5s right now, so that's another thing to consider if you're in the market for a new iPhone.
