Remember Best Buy's $49.99 iPhone 5c promotion that we got wind of last night? Well, it looks like the big blue retailer isn't the only one that's discounting Apple's colorful new smartphone.
RadioShack revealed to MarketWatch today that starting Saturday, Oct. 5, it plans to begin pairing the iPhone 5c with a $50 gift card that can be applied to the purchase of the device in-store. Just as with Best Buy's offer, that'll knock the final cost of the 16GB iPhone 5c down to just $49.99 with a two-year commitment. RadioShack's promo will last until Nov. 2.
Meanwhile, Walmart has revealed that it is straight-up cutting the price of the iPhone 5c from $79.99 to $45 starting today, Oct. 2. Walmart says that the discounted price will be available "throughout the holiday season," meaning that you'll have plenty of time to save up some cash and pick up a new iPhone 5c on the cheap.
It's kind of crazy to see the iPhone 5c being discounted by so many retailers just weeks after its release. While the 5c may share most of its guts with the year-old iPhone 5, it's still a respectable little device, and at $45 or $50 on contract, it's a pretty good deal as well. The good news is that with so many stores running promotions on the iPhone 5c, most folks should be able to find a retailer near them that's got stock and is offering a deal on the device. Are you planning on taking advantage of one of these iPhone 5c promos?
