HTC DROID DNA owners may have started to view their devices with a bit of disdain ever since the HTC One landed at Verizon in August, but it looks like those folks may soon have a reason to get excited about their phone again.
A support page on Verizon's website has revealed some of the details of an upcoming DROID DNA update that'll bring with it HTC Sense 5. The page itself seems kind of not-totally-put-together, but it does shed some light on the goodies that DNA folk will soon have to play with. That includes a refreshed Contacts app with an "Updates" tab that will display social networking updates from friends, new Calendar and Gallery features, a Smart Dialer, Android 4.2's Quick Settings menu and BlinkFeed.
This support page doesn't reveal anything terribly surprising, as most folks expect that HTC and Verizon will bring many of the features found on the One over to the DROID DNA with the Sense 5 update. Still, it's good to get confirmation of some of the update's features, and hopefully the appearance of this support page means that the DNA's update is getting close. After all, HTC executive Jason Mackenzie did recently say that his company is working to update the DNA to Android 4.3 before the end of September. Stay tuned and I'll update you with more details as I get 'em.
