Hot on the heels of a photo leak that revealed a possible Nokia Lumia 1520 variant for Verizon, a new image of the original mega-sized Windows Phone has leaked out.
This new shot comes to us from Chinese site CTechCN.com, which claims that the device is undergoing government testing in China. While the photo isn't exactly of the highest quality, the device shown does appear to line up with previous Lumia 1520 leaks. There's an extra column of Live Tiles on the phone's display, a feature that's enabled on large-screen phones like the 6-inch Lumia 1520 thanks to the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update, and the three capacitive buttons at the bottom of this unit's face look to be in the same spots as other 1520s that we've seen.
In addition to this latest image leak, some reports have come out with new intel on the Lumia 1520's debut. Originally expected to debut in late September, The Verge's Tom Warren and @evleaks now say that Nokia's plans may have changed. Sources speaking to @evleaks claim that Nokia's Lumia 1520 announcement has been delayed, possibly to Oct. 22, which would put the the phone's introduction much closer to its rumored November release. If true, that's kind of a bummer for anyone eagerly anticipating Nokia's giganto-phone, but at least there's a steady stream of leaks to keep us occupied in the mean time.
