Samsung has shown that it's quite fond of re-releasing its existing hardware in new color options, and at this point it's more of a surprise when the company chooses not to give one of its featured devices a fresh coat of paint.
The latest device to face Samsung's paintbrush is the Galaxy Mega 6.3. A new purple version of the 6.3-inch Mega has appeared on Samsung's Hong Kong website, offering consumers a variant of the phone/tablet hybrid that's got a bit more color to it than the existing black and white versions.
Outside of its fresh duds, this purple Galaxy Mega 6.3 appears to be unchanged from the model that debuted in April. That means that it's got a 6.3-inch 720p display and 1.9-megapixel camera on its face, an 8-megapixel shooter on its rear and a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and a 3200mAh battery under its hood.
