BLU Products is a company that's known for offering smartphones with respectable spec sheets and affordable prices, a few of which recently made their way through the PhoneDog offices. Now it looks like the company may soon have a new device to unleash upon the world, and judging by the feature list that BLU has teased, it looks like this may be a phone that spec hounds want to keep an eye out for.
According to posts on BLU's Facebook and LinkedIn pages, the Florida-based firm is prepping a new smartphone that sports an "HD 1080 LCD display" of an undisclosed size on its face and a 13-megapixel camera on its backside. Sandwiched in-between the screen and rear shooter is a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 32GB storage and 2GB RAM. Rounding out the mystery device's feature set is its thickness, which comes in at 7.7mm.
This upcoming BLU handset appears to have all of the trappings of a high-end smartphone, including a 1080p screen and a couple of gigs of RAM, and so it'll be interesting to see how the device performs compared to other top handsets on the market. One other big question mark concerning BLU's new phone is its price tag. We'll have to wait until the phone is officially official before that information comes to light, but BLU is known for pricing its hardware pretty aggressively, and it seems unlikely that the company will stop now. More details as I get 'em.
